The Soul's Tale

Where in this body does my soul reside?

Does she perch elegantly with a glass of red wine on the branches of my heart, savoring the rhythm of the beats? Or does she blend into the knots of the thoughts in my head, quietly stalking those that run wild? Or does she swim in the sparkle of my eye when she sees you? Or does she sing into the tips of my fingers as I write? Maybe, she knows no singular residence; perhaps - much like me.

She's an extrovert. When rain pours to touch my face, I can feel her surging to the very edge of my skin to greet it. Uff, how she savors her freedom. She loves to keep awake even when I sleep. I shut the front doors, yet she discovers her own hidden passage - venturing into corners I didn't know existed, a world beyond what I could offer.

She can see, even when my eyes are shut. Perhaps she'll beat, even when the heart stops.
